As you know I am an owner builder with little background in construction, my only previous experience being the building of a 400 sq foot stick framed cabin. Thanks to your very thorough workshop and excellent step-by-step supporting materials in addition to your personal support of our project we have been able to take on the construction of our 2 story, 2600 sq foot home.

Apart from help on the day of the pour itself, my wife and I did all the ICF block work ourselves. There was a learning curve, but we were patient, paid attention to your good advice, and lo and behold it can all be done with two novices! Although we are still quite a way off from finishing, I'm so glad that we chose ICF construction and Amvic. It's such an added benefit having your personal support and local warehouse too. The amvic block performed very well (no hint of blow outs) and even though we still have another storey to go, it is already very exciting to have a real feeling of the solidity of this construction method - one thump on the wall with a fist tells a great deal. As someone who went through the stick building process previously it is extremely satisfying to know that after one ICF pour I have effectively framed, sheathed and insulated our structure and it "ain't going nowhere".
