This is a
one story approximately 3500 sqft home with 10 ft walls in Carmichael
California. It was built as an owner-builder project and proceeded
quickly with substantial success. Built near busy Fair Oaks Blvd.
the sound-suppression of the concrete walls was critically important in
the owner's decision to build with ICF. Mike Evans
Construction was subcontracted to erect and pour the AMVIC wall
system. The justifiably proud owners are Dick and Terri Wells.

Bracing
with a twist. Due to the hydronic radiant heat tubing in the
slab, the bracing has an extra member extending from the bottom of the
strongback out to the adjuster foot of the brace. This avoids having to
drill into the slab at the adjuster foot location.
It
gets a little crowded sometimes.
Reinforcing corners like this assures dead straight and plumb
corners. This isn't required to prevent blowouts but works to keep
perfect alignment in the corners.
OSB bracing assures window bucks stay square.
And a few months later... the final product. First block laid in
October, move-in at end of May.
